Twin Snakes, Revisited

Writer's picture: VioletViolet

Cracking Open a bag of twin snakes, the blogging begins.

Are you ready?

Recently, I was thinking back on an old blog post I made. This one, I wrote in the car to Montreal right before moving in. In it, I questioned the background of these twin snakes.

I wondered, is one actually sweet and one sour? Or is it a marketing scheme? I’m not sure if I ever answered that on the blog but after trying out on a test audience, Lola and Georgia, I determined one actually was sour.

I probably could’ve figured this out on my own, seeing as it now that I’m eating them, the answer seems clear, but I just don’t think I was quite ready for the truth.

I knew I had to look closer.

Honestly, prepare yourself for this one. You might want to sit down.  It’s deep. While eating these twin snakes, I began to think about how the snake in and itself was kind of a metaphor. The sour and sweet are better together: you can’t have one without the other. Sometimes I even shock myself with what I can come up with. As John Legend says, "Wow."

To be real, in this case I could have the sour ones with out the sweet, but I’m gonna pretend like this isn’t true. Speaking of metaphors, yesterday on the mountain I saw rock in a cage…. so deep….

Again, speaking of deep quotes, I saw this on a desk when waiting for my second class of they day. It really makes you think, wow, life really is more than a cliche, huh? Powerful.

Almost choked on twin snake - and then spent thirty seconds trying to remember how to spell choked.

I have been fully convinced that there was a grape flavor, turns out it’s just cherry. Why is the cherry purple? No idea.

In other news, I finished Fate: the Winx Saga today. The CGI was so bad my mom could do it better. (In this case, the saying is probably true, because she’s an editor) (but even still). I would say I completely guessed the ending, but realistically, that’s not true. I did guess, however, one of the first major reveals.

Fate setup while cooking for the week

What else is up next on the agenda? To keep it real, dinner at BMH. But, if you’re looking at the broader spectrum of things, Saturday is Friendsgiving. What is she bringing to the table, you might ask? Cranberry sauce and cucumber salad. Hopefully I body yet.

Not to be cocky, but based on my last meal planning week, I’m gonna kill it. Lola and I made beans, rice, and sweet potatoes. Not only do they all go hard (except for the rice, which in this case was soft - we fucked up and it was a little over cooked) but they are so versatile, going from rice bowl to nachos to quesadillas to more.

Peace.
